LL had a lovely visit from our favorite Vol. this week. Melanie came to spend some time with Team Tully and we loved having her here. LL welcomed her by promptly falling asleep in her arms...he already knows how to win the ladies over! Melanie was a huge help and if we had more money and, if she were dumb enough to accept, we would hire her. She helped with the dishes, the cooking, bathing LL, and even watering our plants. Yea for Melanie!!! I think LL thanked her by peeing all over Mom and making sure Melanie had a great view of the event. He and Melanie bothed laughed and laughed and laughed....I did not. We wish Melanie did not live so far away...however, I am sure despite the distance she will not only spoil him but make sure he learns all sorts of naughty things! :)
The dentist - yes, it was that time again. I had an appointment yesterday and once again (for the 2nd time in a row) it was a rather pleasant experience. No cavities, TV right above my face, and yelled at for not flossing....pretty much a rerun from last time.
Picture this (you will have to imagine it because I can do many things but I cannot take my own picture while both hands are full with precious cargo (baby and dog)): a light drizzle, a bored dog, a wide awake baby, a bright red umbrella, and a new mom looking to please everyone. I decided that it wasn't raining all that hard and it looked like it was going to stop any second so I strapped LL into the front pack (he is loving it these days) and got Riggs hooked up to the leash. I put up our bright red umbrella and off we go for a little stroll. Well, we must have either looked ridiculous beyond words or cute beyond words because we walked almost a mile and I have never (not even when I was 9 months pregnant and larger than life) gotten so many waves, smiles, points, and complete strangers slowing down to get a good long look! It was so amusing!! LL was bright eyed and he is the cutest thing around so I can understand the smiles but I think our dog (also a cutie) and the bright red umbrella just took us off the cuteness charts! Or...they were pointing and smiling discussing how crazy I am for all the effort for a stroll...either way all three of us loved the attention. Just imagine.
