Mia was helping me out with LL while L was out of town doing field work and thank goodness! She kept me fed and sane while L was away! Not to mention she was on Riggs duty as well and I know he was so thankful she was here! LL was glad to listen to a voice other than mine too. An all around huge help and we love her! As Mia's stay came to end, she and Freddy (my parents' grandparent names - cute right?!) offered to watch Riggs for the weekend. A weekend without the dog?? I ran it by L and let's be honest...we both pretty much jumped at the chance to not have to worry about our four legged baby for a few days. It has been wonderful, I hope that doesn't sound horrible but it has been really nice to not have to figure Riggs into every equation. I miss him but not the chores that go with him. And...Mia and Freddy are going to bathe him...yikes! That should be interesting - we can't wait to hear all about it. Thank you thank you!!
It has been pretty hot today so we have been mostly inside playing with LL. He was very alert and pleasant this morning so we decided to have a dance party. A full on, I even broke a sweat, dance party! LL started out in the front pack and we danced around the kitchen together to everything from La Bamba to the Barnyard Boogie to various Jack Johnson tunes. Then L joined us and we sang and danced around the kitchen for nearly an hour....LL got a little tired of the front pack so he watched his crazy parents dance from his bouncy seat. His expressions went from joy to pity to confusion, I even think I detected a bit of embarrassment. Once LL is standing upright I am sure L will be happy for me to take him on as my new dance partner. You would think that because I love to dance I am actually good at it...nope...I am horrible and I am very much okay with that! :) No pictures of today's dance party but hopefully we will think of grabbing the camera next time.
Can you believe he can sleep like this? Amazing!
