Luke the 5 Year Old!

Time.  I talk about it a lot, I think about it even more.  It is an amazing and wonderful and strong and awful and fleeting thing.  Luke turned five on June 20th and I asked him a few weeks prior to his special day if he would like to have a party...a real party...with a theme and invitations...the whole shebang.  He said no and that we just wanted to spend the day with his family and have a Ninjago cake.  Perfect!  He was extra lucky this year because J and H were in HH with Ima and Sheshy so it was a certainly a family celebration that included beach time and party time!  Luke adores his cousins and we were so thankful that they were here to help celebrate yet another trip around the sun.  L and I are so extremely proud of our son and who he has become! He is curious, and smart, and kind, and thoughtful, and oh so funny!  He is forever asking questions and loves "doing science."  He has a curious spirit that keeps us on our toes and we are so very blessed by him each and every day!  So HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LUKE!!

Lloyd from Lego Ninjago.  (don't feel bad if you have no idea who he is) - pretty pleased with this year's efforts!  Thanks to L for finding the most simple version for me to copy. ;-)

Luke's birthday dinner choice:  Pizza, wings, and broccoli!  A crowd pleaser for sure!!
