When we aren't traveling or having planned and big adventures we are just enjoying our time with each other and friends. Here is some of what the fall has had in store for us.
L suggested we head north to the railway museum. A tiny place in a tiny town but full of wonderful people and lots of history. We got to explore each train car and even take a train ride through beautiful farm land and a rock quarry. Call me crazy but I let Luke have the camera and he took ALL of these photos!
Papaw - this one is specifically for you! "Papaw would love that old truck, I better take a picture of it before we check out this caboose." :-)
Luke took this picture while we were on the train. We sat in an open car which was great for both keeping cool and taking great pictures!
We have been on the birthday circuit a bit this fall too! One party in September and two in October. You can't beat a Batman theme.
Monkey Joes (aka the nap maker) with our best buds!!
Park play. There is a huge playground about 15 feet from where this picture was taken and these three amigos instead decided to build roads for the ants.
More after school park play with Luke's main man, Daniel!
Again, Luke and Daniel were feet away from a wonderful playground but instead spent a good 35 minutes building this guy a "home." He did seem to really like it though!
The neighborhood hangout!
Birthday monster cake pops! A BIG hit!
A Mommy-Luke rainy day date...pottery painting. :-)
A quick trip to Hilton Head. Luke and Sheshy caught a bunch of whiting at the beach so we brought them home and here are the boys prepping them for dinner! Yum!
Still tiny footprints! Love my little guy!!
I caught this flounder!!! Biggest catch of my life! Luke for scale!
Luke caught this croaker! What a racket these fellas make!
The weather is beautiful and our days are spent outside and are full of picnics and playgrounds and creature finding. This is my favorite time of year when the windows are open and pumpkin smells are the norm. As my dear friend, Melanie would say..."jeans and flip flop weather"! Simply the best!!
Happy Fall Y'all!!!
