Geocaching: Team Tully's Newest Obsession!

We LOVE geocaching!  Now that the water temperatures are a little too chilly for kayaking we  have moved on to a more cool weather appropriate activity...geocaching!  If you haven't done it you should.  So much fun!  It is simply the perfect activity for our family.  We get to be outside, we get to hike or bike or climb, we get to be together, we get to work together as a team, and we get rewarded with a geocache find! Awesome.  Luke is a geocaching nut.  He has gotten to wander in some beautiful  and unique places, he has also learned quite a bit about map reading and how GPSs work.  He understands the terms longitude and latitude (and fully appreciates my accompanying dance ;) ha!).  He even said that when he grows up he would like to be "an explorer that wears a mask like batman."  Let's concentrate on the explorer part!  We just love that he loves to be outdoors, to wander, to seek, and to discover....not to mention some geocaches have little prizes inside...he chooses a trinket from home to leave and he takes a new trinket for his collection.

Who wouldn't want to go on a treasure hunt in a place like this?.....
