We spent yet another Wednesday morning with Nanny and her animal buddies. The animal group was a little more subdued this time but the kids didn't seem to notice. It is amazing what a few caged animals (and some uncaged) will do to a bunch of toddlers. We love it here and I am getting better about actually petting things, although today's only pet went to a horse named Rocco.
K and Luke checking out the extremely wild and exotic...squirrel!
The boys dreaming cowboy dreams! (there are girls in the playgroup, I swear)
On the hunt for snapping turtles. Despite being told not to touch Luke had no problem sticking his entire arm in the water and bringing up whatever he could find. 90% of the time it was NOT a turtle.
By far the highlight! Luke could not get enough of this python! He asked Nanny if he could hold it and when she said no, that he could only pet it his response was. "Pwease, Nanny, I no squeeze it!" (please refer to our frog situation in the backyard).
B and Luke were pretty much the bravest of the brave. (Not what you thought Nanny looks like, is it?! A sweet lady!)
Honestly, he just wanted to pet this thing all day! He was telling Nanny all about snakes and where they live and what they sound like. Nanny was about ready to hire him...or...send the snake home with me!
Baby chicks
M and Luke discussing chicken antics and whether or not M can get a chicken to bite him! Boys - always testing the limits :)
O has the best expression I have ever seen! Ha! I love that little girl! At the ripe ole' age of 2 1/2 she is miss independent and a female powerhouse. :)
O: "Because I am feeling extra nice today I will let you sit on that chicken but don't even think about taking a ride on this here pink bunny! You hear me?!"
Luke: "Loud and clear! Loud. And. Clear."
All I can say is I love you!!! You are such a great mother and Amen loving the last picture It is totally what I think was said between them! LOL
