March

I'm trying to stay a little more on top of things as we head into April and May - two of the busiest months of the year.  Our March was full of great weather, great people, great wandering, and great fun.  Not all of our days are rainbows and roses but we sure are lucky and very very grateful.

L and I started the month with a little 5K in our great city.  We did a fast-ish walk/slow-ish jog for this one per the doctor's orders and to be honest we had the best time at a slower pace.  Luke and a friend spent our running time wandering the riverwalk - outside time for all!
The following day I was the chauffeur for 4 teenagers as they had a 'downtown day' full of museums and food and the beloved candy store.  I spent my time wandering campus and shopping along Main Street.

Yolanda has gotten some much needed TLC as she continues to provide us with delicious and healthy treats.  She turned 5 years old this month!

Poolside Days to.....

Campfire Nights.  These guys are living their best lives.

One of my very favorite people has a birthday in March.  We have given this same card - not re-buying the same card - we literally give this exact card to each other for our birthdays.  This card has been passed back and forth in March and September each year since 2018!  Gosh I love my frugal friend - it is one of my very favorite traditions/inside jokes!

Here is the birthday girl celebrating after a 6 mile birthday hike!

We made a trip to WV to visit with the Tullys and had a wonderful time! The weather was great and we got to spend lots of time outside.  This little park is the perfect spot for some Tully basketball challenges.  We came up with so many different games and had the best time.  Luke won the majority of contests but L and I held our own too.

Lots of wandering in the woods - my favorite thing

You gotta love a park that still has a metal slide

Sweet Papaw helping us change the oil

And of course, the highly anticipated board games with Kenny and Pete.  Luke and L both look forward to these long and complicated games - We love our time with P and K.

Girls night on the lake!  Games and food and so much laughter.  Love this crew!

We got a new vacuum for our anniversary!  No dinner out or anniversary getaway but we do have extra clean floors!

19 years

I was invited to a trail running film festival and it was so much fun.  Fantastic films, fantastic people, fantastic location, fantastic stories.

Such a cool spot.

Spring is a great time to celebrate life - it's always amazing to me when life grows in the unexpected, unrelenting, undesirable, unmanageable.  Such strength and grace - reminds me of people past and present.

It's that time of year! Yay! Prepping his fishing stuff

L and I found an early morning to do our annual Anniversary run - a new vacuum, a pineapple, and a 9.5 mile run to celebrate 19 years!  I wouldn't have it any other way.  LOVE

I took my shot and asked Luke to take a photo with me...and believe it or not he said YES! I wasted no time to make it happen but his one requirement was "let's make it weird."  HA! Whatever it takes.  I love this kid!
