February

 Conversely, February flew by!

My sweet co-worker offers up seats from his season tickets to the men's games and we take him up on it each year!  As always, a great night out.

Luke took part in his program's "lock-in" again this year. It is the absolute highlight of the year!  They have the best time!  I asked Luke if he had any photos from the lock-in to share and this is what he sent me. HA!  You're welcome.

Valentine's Day tradition.

If it is a Sunday, this is what is happening! Also, our February weather spanned from 82 degrees as a daytime high to 28 degrees as a daytime high.  We keep both shorts and gloves handy!

Every once in a while on my daily walk in the woods I come across something special or strange - usually both.  This lone hiking boot got washed up in some local flooding and I just loved it so much.  I couldn't help but wonder...how many miles did it wander?  who wore it?  where is it's partner?  where did it travel? The life of hiking boots....wandering and wondering....my two favorite things.

Sleepovers.  Two of them managed to 'sleep' on this couch.  One on the floor and two more on the living room couches.  I should have also taken a picture of the kitchen...just an absolute disaster.  I found shredded cheese, an ice cube tray, a bottle of vinegar, cookie sheets, and a pipette on the kitchen counter.  ???? Kids are the best. Hilarious! I absolutely love it...memories being made!

L and I joined our running buddies to run 100 kilometers in the Dam to Dam relay on a very chilly February Saturday.  L's team of misfit men who are absolutely hilarious and they had the best time! Here they are at the finish line.

And my team.  Here we are in the dark at the start line

This is what most of the miles looked like!  A very hilly course through beautiful farmland.

These ladies - I love them so.  My running family is made up of the most interesting people...on this relay team alone we had a college professor, a pediatrician, me, a sailor who bought a sailboat during Covid and spent 3.5 years sailing around Central America, an actuary, and a stay at home/homeschooling mom.

A little surgery made a bag of frozen peas my best friend for a few days.

Backyard happy hour and sunset on the very last day of a very short month
