Two Tullys

Luke and I have done our best to survive and thrive while L has been out West with his field camp students and colleagues.  Some days have been more successful than others but we have had a lot of fun and some adventures of our own.  So much has happened in the last month.  Seventh grade is in the books!  Can you believe that?  Crazy.  Like the excellent mother that I am I forgot to take a last day of school picture to contrast the first day of school picture but Luke did just have a well visit at the pediatrician and he is now 5'5" tall so there's that!  Here are a few pictures to commemorate our time as just Two Tullys

Luke was invited to a pretty awesome Nerf battle birthday party!  And because my dear friend Kimberly knows I will pretty much do anything in the name of a good time she asked me to participate to even out the teams.  Ha!  Let me tell you, Nerf battling in the dark with a bunch of 13 or soon to be 13 year olds is no joke!  We all had the best time!

We celebrated the successful end of 7th grade with a trip to Hilton Head.  Luke invited his buddy Owen and these boys did all the Hilton Head favorites!  Expert boogie boarders.

Captain Shesh and first mate Denny took these kiddos out on the open water for some serious shark shenanigans!

I love that Luke has yet to outgrow beach wandering and exploring.

My favorite fisherman

Post-fishing cool off in the pool.  Such a fun weekend for two boys who worked really hard all year!

Luke and I found a new fishing spot on the river (thanks, Steph!).  We didn't catch anything big but Luke caught at least 20 fish so this particular trip was quantity over quality but we will bring the kayak or canoe next time...or some waders...the water is COLD, to get out in the middle.  It's so nice to have a new spot to come to.

It has been a couple of years since we have been to watch our hometown minor league baseball team. I'm not sure why because we had so much fun!  We definitely need to do it more often.

Luke is constantly fishing.  Thank goodness his best bud Jed is also a fisherman.  The two of them caught so many at the creek the other day and they rarely bring them home but apparently bream was on the kid menu.  Luke was the chef and these 5 feasted on the delicious and very bony treat.

Rave reviews
