Cousin time!! Hooray! Oh my goodness, we so LOVED our time with the PA crew! We missed our dear, sweet Molly but she was rocking her new business and getting into the swing of things at home and we love her for her willingness to share her kiddos with us! It was 10 days of love and laughter and memories!!! So fantastic!
Mit and the kids stopped to visit with sweet Evelyn and her family before heading our way. How cute is this photo!! Evelyn is definitely a little people person. :-)
Immediately upon arrival Luke, H, and J headed to the creek to work on a fort!
Jeffrey - 12
Luke - 11
Hallie - 9.5
Mit and Jeffrey left for HH and Hallie stayed here with us! We loved having a little solo time with each kid and Luke was very specific about activities he wanted to do with each of his cousins separately. Hallie was chosen to be let in on our daily blackberry collecting and wait until you see what the two of them created with 2+ weeks of wild blackberry hauls!!
The movie night setup!
Naan pizzas and zucchini chips for movie night
They set a minnow trap at the creek earlier in the day and didn't catch any minnows but did catch this crawdad!
Kid Chef Dinner! The kids researched recipes and made a grocery list for what they would create for dinner. It was so much fun! They did a great job of working together. I did the grocery shopping and got things out of the oven and did the dishes. Other than that it was all them!
Tennis!
Kid Chef Dinner preparation!
And now....the BLACKBERRIES! Luke had this idea to make a pie and bring it to HH for everyone. He wanted it to be a super secret surprise. His excitement about making something from scratch like this was adorable. He chose Hallie to help in its creation and they really took their time to make it happen. Not a single store bought or farm grown blackberry...all wild and hand picked!
Gorgeous!
The four of us headed to HH to meet up with Ima and Sheshy and Mit and J. Started our visit off with a quintessential HH bike ride. Shesh in the lead of course.
The bakers and their special delivery! It was DELICIOUS!
Hooray for shark season!
Every kid on the beach will assume this position and I just love the WONDER!
Teamwork caught on camera
J can ride a unicycle. How impressive is that!?!!?! Crazy! He is amazing!
Luke celebrated his 11th birthday while we were in HH. Ima and Hallie made his cake. Isn't this perfect?! He is so very very lucky to have such caring and giving family members! Thank you!
Driveway corn hole for the pre-dinner win!
L spent a lot of time like this. Hilarious! Mit has created this program where you can visit geologic features virtually and be taught about their structure, origin, etc. Essentially a virtual geology class! Pretty amazing! L couldn't get enough
Beach time was Luke's birthday request!
Ima and Sheshy and their Love, Joy, and Happiness
The best part about this photo is that they are looking at the listing of a yacht for sale. HA!
Shesh is in heaven with this photo! Three little golfers
11 He is 11!!! Love him more than he will ever know!!!
Hallie with a big one!
Back home with just Jeffrey. Pokemon was the 7am activity each morning!
Kayaking/Paddleboarding at the lake
Houseboat planning and design
Hitting the links
These two have quite the routine with the Chinese yo-yo. So awesome!
Out on the course!
Fishing at the creek before the rest of the PA crew arrived.
Sidenote: J called Luke prior to their trip south and the two of them discussed which shirts they have in common (thanks to Ima). The selections were made and they tried very hard to make sure they were matching each day. Don't you just love that? Cousin love!
We absolutely loved our time with family and I cannot tell you how great it was for Luke to have different scenery, different playmates, different experiences. That is what has been hard about all of this...the sameness, so we were so grateful for the time and the memories and the togetherness with family in the last few weeks. Good for the heart and soul! I know I say it all the time but we are incredibly grateful for the families we have....such amazing people with kind and generous and loving hearts!
