"That's the good stuff" - partial lyrics from a country song that I don't know the name of and I don't know who sings it (if you know me at all neither of these facts will surprise you) but I thought of those lyrics immediately when uploading these photos. The in between, the (extra)ordinary, the stuff that makes our life wonderful and vivid and OURS. We had a loooooong stretch of just being at home. For a wandering family like ours it was different, it was not our norm, but it was good. Our little plot of land and our little floor plan has been so very good to us and so we took these last few months to celebrate the most "home" place we have lived since our own childhoods. The Good Stuff.
Not Mozart...yet.
Luke and his adventure and mud loving BFF!
Times like these remind me that they still are little boys...watching our neighbors get a new roof...endless entertainment.
Luke was chosen by his art teacher to have his artwork (on either side of him) on display at the district art show! We are SO proud of him (and Amie would be too!)
Ummm??? He said he was "just keeping an eye on things."
My mom role allows me to chaperone class field trips and I love it! I love being a part of Luke's education and I love to see how all the students interact and get immersed in their learning. It was awesome! I learned so much from our trip to the capital.
Such a GREAT class!
If this one has less homework than the big boys he reads to Jasper. So adorable!
Creating and launching a raft with a message in a bottle. Sheshy told Luke that he once launched one and actually heard from someone who found it!! They are still hopeful.
This dog thinks it's summer. He is in for a rude awakening! It was only about 80 degrees on this particular day.
We checked on the raft a few days later and it had migrated about 300 yards downstream but got caught up in this mess. A daring rescue effort.
He fell in from the above picture. Ha! The other two boys, out of solidarity and envy, decided to get wet too! These are the childhood memories that will last a lifetime!
Spring has sprung...
in all its glory!
