May is like December. Incredibly full, incredibly busy, incredibly fun, incredibly exciting, and incredibly exhausting! We are rounding out our last days of school....can you believe that?! Crazy! The arrival of summer is always so awesome for me....I get my sidekick back and we get to wander and explore and play and just be. I love it!! It will be a busy summer, it will be a long summer, but just knowing that a schedule is not ruling our lives thrills me. We have a lot going on but it is fun stuff, things we want to do, places we want to go, people we want to see....we are excited!! Don't get me wrong...school will be welcomed again come August but for right now....BRING ON SUMMER!!
Welcome to May...
This happened. On a weekday. This kid can be super sweet when he wants to be!
Kayaking besties. These two can make their own fun and adventure for HOURS. Great minds think alike!
They set up a towing system for when one of them wants a paddle break and just wants to ride. :-)
2nd grade field trip! This was my group and they are such a great group of boys. They were interested and excited and were oh so happy to explore!
"Thank you Mrs. Tully for just letting us wander." Music to my ears!
Critter Catching
It was a wonderful day of science and fun and learning. Well done, second grade, well done!
4 of the best darn chaperones EVER!! :-)
Crafting for friends! Our sweet Jed and his mom ran in a race and Luke and I made signs and stood along the race path to cheer them on. It is important to do things for others.
A local air show!! This was SO AWESOME! My hope is that they do it every year because Team Tully will be there! So many servicemen and women were on hand to answer all of our (and by "our" I mean "L's" ) questions and we got to see some AMAZING air stunts and shows. Amazing.
Afternoon ritual for Jasper
Our afternoon life. Love that, M! Only girl but hangs with the boys like a champ!
Hooray!!! Together again! Luke and Mallory...love! A friendship like I have never seen. She is never far from his mind and they pick up as if no time or distance has passed. A lesson to us all!
The Tochat Family
(oh how we missed N! but knowing that she was off on an adventure made me smile!)
We went to visit the Bochats the day before Mother's Day and how fitting! Erin is not only a great friend but she is an INCREDIBLE mother and I have learned so much from her about patience and grace and praise. She is a gem and I am thankful for all that she has taught me and shown me.
Mother's Day! My requests are the same each year. Homemade cards, no cooking, and a family walk. I was not disappointed! I had a great day with my boys and Luke and L showered me with love and appreciation. I couldn't ask for anything better. The perfect day! Oh, and Luke made a biography about me...which is priceless of course...but my most favorite part was where he wrote that "My mom reminds me of a Pillgram." Boom! A pilgrim. I remind him of a Pilgrim. C'mon, is that not the BEST. THING. EVER?!?!?
More kayaking with B! They were on a turtle count mission. I think the number was 17.
Rainy Day Backyard Friend. Luke played with this fellow for no less than an hour, missed bedtime by a good 45 minutes but I decided that it was well worth it! Sang to him, made up challenges for him, observed his webbed feet, and so much more. Always curious!
Just last night we got to celebrate our favorite 8 year old duo! Happy Birthday to these twins! Such great kiddos! And kudos to their mom for turning a restaurant booth into party central!!
