Tennessee Time

L and I have known R and T for 11 or so years.  Our lives have taken many paths with many moves and many many miles but still the Gonzalez family is near and dear to us.  They are some of our closest friends and despite being oceans away when we have the chance to be all together it is wonderful, natural, as if no time has passed.  A testament to True friendship.  We are thankful!  The kids have grown up seeing each other about once a year and even so they seamlessly get back into a groove...simply appreciating their time together.  Love.  This family is gracious, kind, generous, loyal, positive, and open minded.  We often comment on how when we get together with R and T we love to talk about life, travel, politics, and parenting.  Conversations that are good for the soul.  We trust them with our stories, our worries, our triumphs.  True and very real friends.

Splashpad fun!

Luke is one lucky dude :-)

Luke reading to C and K about coral reefs.  They were such good listeners.

The adults :-)
Oh how we missed T!! We missed her smiling face, her fantastic laugh, and her incredible spirit.  However, she was away being a selfless daughter and giving love and support where it was truly needed.

Goodbyes are hard...the girls were holding on tight!

The highly anticipated nighttime reading by Mr. Rafe (also highly anticipated were Rafe's famous pancakes.  Delicious!)!

We had an awesome time with awesome friends and we are already looking forward to seeing each other again!
