Once again we were so fortunate to have family time in HH this summer! And as always the summer highlight is Luke's birthday! SIX! We have a six year old?!! He is absolutely everything a six year old should be...forever curious, funny, adventurous, reckless, wild, aware, inquisitive, fun, impressionable, brilliant, and ours! We love you, Luke!
Once again I offered a birthday party...invitations, decorations, games, etc. And once again Luke said no, that he would "rather just be at the beach and having fun." LOVE him! We got to celebrate with cousins, aunts, uncle, and grandparents and we enjoyed every second! Luke absolutely adores his cousins and I am tearful at every goodbye with them because how wonderful would it be if we lived closer? If cousins were more like a brother and a sister? But then again, distance creates gratefulness and appreciation and excitement when we do get together. It was a fantastic visit and a treasured part of our summer! Thank you to Ima and Sheshy for providing us a place to gather and make forever memories! We love you!
Summertime Team Tully
Luke's chosen birthday cake. Chocolate bottom, white icing, and a spotted stingray! Compliments of Ima and Hallie!
These two! Such a sweet relationship. Love.
Uncle Mit was the kite master this year. Luke and H helping with the launch.
I cannot tell you how much the boys love their golf bags. Golfing with Shesh has been a summer highlight. In fact, rarely a day goes by that we don't discuss golf! What a gift to share...golfing with their grandfather. Sheshy is a wonderful teacher and these two...they just GET IT! They seem to know how much it means to Sheshy and they are learning at such a young age to respect and appreciate the time and the experience. They really are getting good and the golf "discussions" are priceless!
No joke...this picture was taken approximately 3 minutes after Aunt Daney walked into the house! The Berenstain Bear queen!
An hourly occurrence! It was the hottest week of the summer!
Luke's favorite thing! REPTILES! Brave Jeffrey holding a snake as tall as he is!
Luke and a tiny gator!
Even the little miss gathered up the courage to hold a baby snake. So proud of herself!
Coolest Grandmother EVER!!!!
Little Man Luke in reptile heaven!
Better me than L! Ha! I actually really like snakes and I had never held a gator before. Such a cool experience!
Awesome

These two kiddos went to morning camp. This day's theme was Cowboys and Indians! They had a great time but I think the favorite part might have been the bike ride there and back. :-)

Sheshy and his girl.
For Christmas Ima and Sheshy gave the kids the coolest gift. They adopted a sea turtle nest in each of their names. This is a picture of the kids posing next to Luke's adoptive sea turtle nest! We got weekly emails throughout the summer with sea turtle facts and photos. We also got the hatching notification! Luke's nest had 110 eggs in it and it had a really high hatching success rate of 94%. It was an awesome gift full of education and excitement! So darn cool!
