Not Quite Fall

Today is a fall-ish day...perfectly overcast, drizzling every once in a while, cool. Although fall, in all its glory, has not yet arrived. We are anxiously awaiting my most favorite time of year. The summer wreaths are down and the fall ones put up. Apple and pumpkin candles are burning and jeans are beckoning to be worn. We aren't quite there yet but we are oh so very hopeful that it will be here soon! We cannot wait to open windows and wear long pants. I cannot wait to grip my coffee cup for some added warmth. Pumpkin bread in the oven and longer dog walks. It's coming...I can feel it! We are willing its arrival by plans to go apple picking this weekend and planning camping trips. The most wonderful time of the year!

All is well with Team Tully. We have gotten into a school year rhythm and little man Luke is doing so well! He enjoys school and Spanish and Library days are his favorite. He adores his teachers and he says the lunches I pack "are better than most kids". Ha! Success. My picture taking has slowed because my main subject is in school 7 hours a day but here is what we have been up to:

Dog sitting with a big guy who actually understands and appreciates the game of fetch! (Sorry, Riggs but fetch is not one of your strong suits)

I turned 35 - my gifts were wrapped in maps! Perfection. As always I spent the day feeling blessed to have so many amazing and kind people in my life. My parents and sister surprised me by bringing back my youth with a surprise dinner visit with my very favorite childhood meal! L and Luke were in charge of the cake and everything was oh so delicious! I was shocked and overwhelmed and very very HAPPY!
