Summertime - Volume 2

Before we get into the school year - YES, little Luke is going to preschool!!  I can't quite talk about it yet :(  - anyway, this is more of what goes on in between all the big events!  Our lazy summer days aren't so lazy!

Making homemade ice cream in a bag.  So cool and a perfect serving size for our little family!

You gotta earn that sweet treat by shaking like crazy!

"This ice cream is really quite delicious!"  (Luke is obsessed with the word "quite" - he uses it appropriately though so I am all for it!  He sounds slightly British (are you smiling R and T?!))

This is gonna blow your mind...you can BAKE cotton balls! What, what?!  Good ole' Pinterest.  You drench them in a water, flour, and food coloring mixture and put them in a pan and bake for close to an hour and viola...a cotton ball creation!  Pretty, not at all useful, but still lots of fun!

The final product!  I thought it was so cool that when you crack the shell of the "paint" the cotton is still soft inside.  Wild!

A quick trip to HH with our beloved neighbors!  We found so many treasures on our beach walk and all the kiddos were so excited to be finding cool creatures.

 The littlest beachcombers.

Daddy ocean duty

If I have said it once I have said it 317 times....the beach is Earth's greatest playground.

A post dinner (i.e. full bellies), slightly rainy (but kids don't care), photo.  Are these kids gorgeous or what?!

Island bike rides were the favorite activity!

Luke and I hit up the zoo on a recent, not so hot, morning.  Luke made a friend with a baby giraffe.

Luke's "new" school desk.  Did I mention Luke starts preschool in 2 weeks?!  Nope, still not ready to talk about it.

  1. Love the word "quite" I just laughed outloud not simply smiled. Indeed, quite British; you have a rather clever lad on your hands. ;-)
