A while back L got an itch to hit up the ginormous camping store that is nearby. We hadn't been in there yet and I had a hunch that they would probably have dead animal heads on the walls - which Luke would totally get a kick out of - so we made it a family event. (My how life has changed! Mounted animal heads make for a fun family outing!) Well, to make a long story short, L could not resist getting Luke a sleeping bag! L ordered his new kayak and he has "wilderness brain" BIG TIME! Trips have already been planned, nothing official but his mind is racing with possibilities. I think they are all fabulous ideas but we will start with the backyard camp (maybe this weekend?!). Not to worry, I will document that craziness! Here is Luke trying out his new bag!
I can't remember - has Luke been camping before? We sort of tried when the first was a baby, but I am SO taking them camping this Summer and I CAN'T wait. It will just be some car camping at a KOA likely, but we are going!
ReplyDeleteNo, Luke hasn't been yet but the way we are planning things he will have plenty of camping under his belt by this time next year! We can't wait either! It is simply the best! I envy you and your soon to be fall PA camping...ahhhh, the crisp air! enjoy!
