We are pretty sure Luke has an imaginary friend! His name is Jacob and he seems pretty awesome. Luke doesn't know any Jacobs. We can't figure this out. For the past 2 days Luke has asked to go to Jacob's house, he has told us that Jacob is his friend, and when I told Luke we are having a playdate today and that his friends would be here (I then proceeded to name the kids coming) he added Jacob's name at the end of my list. L was taking Luke through the nightly "night night" routine. Night night Mommy, night night Riggs, night night Tatoheads, and Luke added a night night for Jacob. Ummmmm? What to do, what to do? Should we embrace this new found BFF? Should we try to disprove his existence? Perhaps it is just a phase? (if I had a nickel for everytime I have said that!) I have asked what Jacob looks like and Luke's response was "Jacob." One of a kind I guess. So Team Tully has added a teammate...his name is Jacob.
In other news...not nearly as exciting...we are the current home to 1000s (yes, the number of zeros is correct) of honey bees! A colony of bees and Jacob all in the same week...there is no vacancy at the Tully household. Because L and I recognize and respect the role of the honey bee in the environment we have let them in....for now. Beekeeper, Ken, ("beeman" to Luke) will be coming later this week to set up a transfer operation so that he can collect all of those bees and take them to his house where he will raise them and collect their honey - we are just the foster family. Did I mention the hive/swarm/constant buzzing is located at our front door?
No pictures this time. :( I will see if I can get Luke and Jacob to pose together. :)
