Adios Amigos

Our dear, dear friends R and T came to visit us and although we would have loved to have had them stay much (much much much) longer we were so thrilled to see them. You know you have amazing friends when you haven't seen them in a long time and when you do get to visit with them it is like you were never apart. We chatted and chatted and chatted and it is so nice to be in the company of people that we have so much in common with but yet we can learn so much from. R and T made a huge fuss over Luke and we were so glad to have them meet our pride and joy. They ooooohed and aaaaahed about every move he made and he of course was thrilled with the attention (after the initial shock of strangers in his house).

It was a bittersweet visit because R and T are living their dream and are embarking on an adventure of a lifetime...they will soon be moving to Mexico! We are thrilled for them, amazed by them, worried for them, and inspired by them. What a rollercoaster they have been on for over a year now and this thrill ride could not have happened for two better people. We know they will flourish in their new location because that is what they do...they embrace their surroundings, become part of the community, and make it a better place. We are sad to see them go but we know that this is what they have been working for. We had a little Mexican celebration with a cake that a friend of mine so artfully crafted. Here are just a few pictures.

A sombrero cake with lime filling! Ole!!

Probably not the right kind of cacti (or so we have heard) but you get the idea!

"Mexico huh?! Guess I am gonna have to get my passport!"

"Why do they just keep staring at me?! Oh yeah, I am irrestibly cute!"

"R, you don't quite make the lion noise like I am used to but I will take it!"

Best of luck! We love you and will miss you!
