Not in the least
Yesterday I received one of the best presents I have ever gotten. It was absolutely perfect and and I am still basking in it today. I gave myself the wonderful gift of a maid service. That's right, I hired a maid service to come and clean my ENTIRE house while I sipped lemonade and read a book (I was sipping and reading on the porch - out of everyone's way, I don't want anyone to be picturing me on the couch with my beverage and book and lifting my feet when the vacuum came by...that would be rude and too yuppy-di-do-da). I have to admit at first I was having a pretty big guilt complex about it but as I rationalized to L, I would rather have this than a massage, or facial, or some other pre-baby pampering. This was the ultimate pampering for me. I am a bit of a neat freak (more organization-wise than clean-wise) so I do take care of my house but I am not one to mop the floors on a regular basis or clean off the ceiling fans. These ladies (a team of 4) did it all and the place simply sparkles. It was well worth it. All L had to say about it was; "If you are happy, I am happy." Thank goodness that was his comment because to be honest it wasn't cheap but to me it was money well spent. I am not feeling guilty in the least. Unfortunately now that I got a taste of the good life I am looking into having someone come every once in a while (not to do the entire house but just the "lived in" rooms). What a treat! My vacuum is put away and I am glad to not have to look at it for a while.
