Travel Systems and My Famous Footwear

What can bring on excitement, anticipation, terror, fear, and anxiety just by existing????

BABIES R US!

What an experience, to wander the aisles in search of baby "essentials." Does one honestly and truly NEED a baby wipe warmer?! I didn't think so, I am confident that our child will survive and prosper without adding slight warmth to the baby wipe. Perhaps this is an early sign as to what kind of mother I will be.

Thank goodness mom and Molly were with me. Seriously, I could not have made it through the first aisle (37 bottle nipple choices) without them. I thanked them both profusely but still it does not seem enough. They kept me sane and more on the excited end of the above spectrum. And mom promised ice cream at the end so that didn't hurt (it was kind of like the time I was about 9 and playing soccer and my mom bribed me with ice cream if I would just make contact with the ball once during the game). The trip was a success! L came back for round two the following day, after I had narrowed the choices down...he appreciated that immensly because believe it or not he knows even less than me about which rectal thermometer would be best. We went over the big ticket items and I was so thankful for his expertise in fidgeting with things. He manhandled those travel systems like you wouldn't believe. We are more than happy with our/his choice.

All in all it was an enjoyable experience (once again thanks to mom, Molly, and L), made even more enjoyable by the sheer pleasure I get from wearing flip flops. Finally the flip flop days are among us! Okay so today and probably the next 4 or 5 days flip flops would not be appropriate but a steady string is just around the corner. I can feel it. I am meeting Melanie and G in a few weeks and Melanie and I are like the flip flop wearing twins so I know I have a team member in my obsession for open toed footwear.

A weekend full of baby goodness and flip flops = a happy K. :)
