Finally

Here I am. Sorry.  Life and technical issues and life have gotten in the way of blog updates. This one is just going to be a bit of a download of lots of photos and very little subtext, but it will still serve as a reminder of all the good and all the time and all the people that make up life for Team Tully.

We gathered in Hilton Head with Mit and Molly and J and H (Ima and Shesh hosting of course) and had a great time!  Forever grateful for this place and all the memories it holds for all of us.

The boys were very into the casting net this time and spent time at the lake throwing it out for bait fish

Chatting up a fellow cast net enthusiast

Luke got the most hilarious group party game for his birthday.  We take this wherever we go now for lots of laughter and shenanigans.  Hilarious for the teen crowd!  It's called Coyote

I included this picture and the next to let you see what Grandparent love sometimes looks like!  Here is Shesh, out in the garage before the sun is up prepping rods and hooks and bait to go out on the boat with his grandkids.  He has everything packed and ready and seeing him in his 'workshop' is truly a visual of "Love Does"

And Ima....Ima took the coffee maker out of the kitchen and moved it into the laundry room at night because she knows her adult kids get up super early and her grandkids are sleeping in a room off the kitchen so this way the adult kids can have their beloved coffee (she pre-loads it and sets it at night too) and her grandkids can sleep in.  Perhaps a little thing (and a hilarious photo) but it just means so much and is so thoughtful.  Again....Love Does.

Deep discussions at Ima's breakfast table

Luke turned 16 as you know....just a few small gifts from L and I because his big gift was to take him and 5 of his friends on a lake trip....

We all had the BEST time.  These young men are simply the greatest!  They are smart, respectful, polite, hilarious, and so much fun!  It was a joy to be around them and it was a great way to celebrate a birthday and friendship.  Oh, and there was a major flood and the boys were on the news...it was a whole thing....they certainly made the best of a not so great situation though so it was still a house full of laughter and love.

Feeding 6 teenage boys is not for the weak

SO many games!  It was the best!  Taboo was a favorite for sure

A private pickleball court!  (and the flood, it was no joke)

Back to "normal" life...things like this no longer phase me about L.  This far into our marriage I am no longer surprised by him going through sediments in our kitchen sink.  Please know he then took this sieve into the bedroom and while sitting in bed using a needle removed any remaining sediment that had become lodged in the holes.  Never a dull (or nongeological) moment. Ha!

We went on quite a few college visits with Luke...5 this summer, I think.  Lots to think about!

Luke went to see his favorite band and had a GREAT time

Jasper is never more than 3 fee away from me - he is 10 now and more anxious and neurotic than ever.  We sure do love him though.

Terrible picture but I just don't want to forget that push up contests between Luke and his friends happen on random Thursdays sometimes.

Homeownership.  Ugh.  L doing an amazing job with some drainage fixes

Real life...a glass baking dish explodes in the oven....a very lengthy cleanup job and ruined pork chops

Never more than 3 feet away...much closer if he can

They went to a football game dressed this way...there was a theme...I forget what it was but even looking at this photo I can't imagine what it would be?!  Ha!

I am on a triathlon training team...early morning swims for the win!

Date Night

Luke worked again this year at a Pokémon camp and loved it! Such a great way for him to be involved in helping other kids learn to play a game he has loved for years!

Summer running in beautiful places

First Day of 11th Grade

Where does time go?

It doesn't yet feel like fall but we are well into all the fall things.  Life is good and full and we are thankful.
