Taking a break from the monthly updates to showcase L. Sweet, Smart, Sensational L. May is his month to shine and did he ever! What a trip, what an experience, what an opportunity, what an adventure. Field camp is the culmination of each academic year in the Geology Department. It is a requirement for geology majors and it is highly anticipated and the stories the students hear from years past are legendary. Each crop of rising juniors and seniors take part in this pilgrimage to places so incredibly different from what they know. It is truly amazing and L feels honored and fortunate that he gets to lead these students with eyes wide open, minds wide open, and hearts wide open. They are forever changed. Another field camp is in the books and here are some amazing photos to prove it. We are so very proud of him for being such a positive and guiding force in his students' lives. They are the lucky ones!
The crew! A much smaller group this year which allowed for some new places and a different travel itinerary. They literally started at the Pacific Ocean and worked their way east doing a bit of a cross section of the United States. So cool! Golden Gate Bridge in the background
