Thank You For Being a Friend

I am beyond fortunate to have beautiful friendships in my life.  And recently I got to spend some time with a few of my favorites!

This lady....rock star mom, beautiful human, and fantastic friend!  I talk to Lisa DAILY and I cannot imagine life without her.  She is honest and genuine and because we think so similarly we are a dynamic duo.  Due to bad weather cancelling our camping plans I got to surprise sweet Lisa by turning up unannounced at her girls' dance competition.  It was fantastic, those little ladies are incredibly talented and I was blown away by their skills and grace!

Look at me getting to be a "dance mom"!!  I so enjoyed being  a part of Lisa's world for a day and it was so nice catching up with my sweet friend!

Camping with friends...Just the greatest!  Wandering for hours and hours on the trails, great conversations, so much laughter, fireside drinks, and fresh air...all of my favorite things!

We headed upstate for the perfect weather weekend!

So pretty!

I love these ladies so much!  Fun, funny, smart, sarcastic, and so so kind!  But to be fair they both gave me SO much grief for "making" them hike the "hardest" trail and accusing me of not providing accurate information on hike length and elevation....HA!  That's what happens when you give me the map...now they know better.

There really is no better way to end a day!

I also had a luncheon yesterday with my bestie LaShawn and another friend of ours.  I call it a "luncheon" because LaShawn makes me call it that...its sounds fancy, doesn't it?  Its a piece of pizza at the Costco food court.  #keepinitreal  I love it so much!  We have been friends long enough (since Luke and Daniel were 3 years old) that she no longer comments when I choose not to buy a drink but instead pull out a water bottle (reused a million times and filled with tap water from my house) from my purse.  And I know that a Costco Luncheon is the way to her heart because she is my friend who will not be caught dead camping!!

Adulthood friendships are an incredibly thing...based on truth and understanding and life experiences.  As always I am grateful for each and every path I have traveled and crossed and even more grateful for the people I have met along the way!
