Our Other Summer

Team Tully has had an incredible summer!  After our AMAZING trip to Portugal we returned home to busy and slow days, days full of kids, days of just Luke, days of visiting friends and family near and far.  Days of chores and checklists, days of special treats and fun activities.  We did all of our traditional summer activities plus some bonus quiet days and fun filled adventures.  I have to be honest, there are not a ton of pictures....not because we didn't make memories but because we were too busy making memories.

 Our local museum did an outstanding job celebrating the anniversary of the lunar landing! Luke and I spent lots of time wandering and marveling at what a huge feat this was.  So cool!

 He is so interested in what Evelyn can do at each stage...he likes to call them "skills" and asks Aunt Daney what "skills" Evelyn has.  Ha!

 Neighborhood creek fishing.  Luke and Jed just went yesterday as well with a homemade handline and they actually caught fish! SO proud of themselves! 

 Summer family movie nights.  We have watched some great ones .... Avatar...and some not so great ones....The Neverending Story (great book, terrible movie).

 Summer 2019 Craze = Pokemon!  The kids have learned how to properly play the game and they can spend hours battling each other.  Luke has taught me how to play....I have only one once.  I did not win this particular game.

 Messy Camp 2019!  I started this in 2012 with our dear Mallory but have been doing it with these three wild ones for many years.....always a good (and MESSY) time!  Before........

 We combined Messy Camp with a sleepover this year which was pretty much a dream playdate for the kiddos...and Jasper

 It is HOT where we live.  Really REALLY hot.  Water balloons for the nearly daily win.

 Waterpark with the Retey Family!  Oh my goodness how we love this crew!  The kids had an amazing time and Lisa and I got to chat and enjoy each other's company all day long.  So perfect!  A summer tradition to cherish!

and just because I want to remember....our family trip to HH included all of these WONDERFUL memories pictured plus more but it also included:

1. a broken refrigerator

2. broken air conditioning system in the house (outside heat index of over 100 degrees each day)

3. Hallie getting stung by jellyfish...TWICE

4. a popped bicycle tire

5. and the air conditioning repairman's leg coming through the ceiling

No joke...at the time....now it is kind of funny!  Memory making for sure!!
