This "Life Lately" edition is full of FRIENDS! How lucky are we?!
Shout out to KDubz...Shamrock Shake time! Holla!
After school adventures
This is how this sometimes genius of a dog retrieves the frisbee and brings it back. Ha!
This is certainly not a great photo but I want you to know that this location has a giant playground, a basketball court, a nature trail, and soccer fields galore. Also, yours truly brought a basketball, frisbees, a soccer ball, and a football. These three spent 90 minutes searching for and destroying ant hills. A boy's life.
Creative minds making their own rock collection box.
Happy Birthday to this guy!!!
Spring soccer season has begun! Luke is on a great team with an awesome coach.

Chores
Happy Birthday to that up front face! Nothing like a weekday morning birthday party playing Operation. (the previous sentence is exactly why we are friends!)
A visit from the Reteys!!!! Hooray! We got to spend time with our favorite coastal family and we loved it! The kids loved their time together and Lisa and I snuck away for a long walk which was so great and good for the soul. Love this family!
Chloe (8) and Luke (7) looking at books about the weird and the disturbing...similar interests. ;-)
Luke, Kal (almost 2), Jasper, and the bug encyclopedia
Morning snuggles with Lily (6)
Abby (4)...love this little lady!
Treehouse teamwork
Luke the babysitter
It snowed! It snowed a lot! Every kid complained about how cold it was...ha!...southerners!
Quality time spent with quality people
In addition, this pretty pup came to stay with us for a couple of days. She is such a great houseguest!
More teamwork :-)
The discussions that take place on the fence are priceless, and that reference book on the ground is "The Dangerous Book for Boys". I am not allowed anywhere near it!
Luke was on the news at his school! So fantastic! He is "Terrific Kid" this week and L and I both got to be a part of his school day and spend some time with him and his classmates. We loved it! We are thankful for the school he attends, the teacher he has, and that he still wants us to be with him on these special occasions. So fantastic!
I am posting this as a memory that I don't want to forget. My little man attached a note to his empty snack container for me. I put raisins in that little container and a rice cake in a separate bag. Ha!!! I laughed so hard, he is something else and I love him!
