Luke and I headed to PA for a long weekend. Just because. L had a full weekend of work and hosting and celebrating and basking in all he has accomplished in the last few years (more on that later). He deserved to be truly present in what he was doing and who he was with so it gave Luke and I the perfect opportunity to visit our favorite Pennsylvanians!! We spent our time there playing and crafting and chatting and simply spending QUALITY time with family. Truly priceless! We often wish we lived closer to one another but since we don't these times mean so very much to all of us. It was a great weekend!!
Cuddling with Charlie. Molly took Luke to pick up the kids early from school which gave me some time to rest after our VERY early morning flight.
How these boys wrangled H into pushing them is beyond me!
Mealtime discussions are priceless! Look at these faces. Pure JOY
H = almost 5.5 yo
L = 6.75 yo
J = 8 yo
Charlie = 2ish???
Luke was so looking forward to playing J's drums. He talked about it on the flight and he was thrilled to create music.
It snowed. It snowed all day. Not much at all stuck to the ground but J and Luke spent their time licking the swings. Because that's normal. :-)
Mit and the boys - who knows what they were discussing
Hours of backyard wandering
Molly pulled out all the crafting supplies so the kids could make special artwork for Ima's birthday!
"Chopped" snack - kudos to Molly for the excellent ingredient choices.
Ringing Rocks. A super cool waterfall and rocks that ring! So awesome! Luke is still telling his friends about the rocks that play music.
:-)
Luke's favorite thing! The freedom to climb and clamber.
All that climbing is made even better by carrying a hammer to make the rocks ring!
Outside kids
We finished our weekend at J's soccer game. These two had their own game going on and I know H loves some undivided Luke time. :-)
J in action! He is very talented and it was so great to be able to see him play
A late flight home calls for some late night reading. Love this kid and how great of a traveler he is!!
