Happy 10th Birthday to our sweet Riggs! Gosh, how we LOVE this dog! He is an integral part of our family and we are thankful each and every day that he joined us nine years ago! He has had such a rough year and it has been hard on all of us to see him struggle, to see him in pain, to hear him cry. Heart-wrenching beyond words but today was a good day, a GREAT day! He is in an upswing and we are hopeful for continued days of tail wagging and doggie snuggles. We love you Riggs!!!

There really is nothing like a boy and his dog. These two are so good for each other! Luke gives Riggs someone to play with, someone to protect, and someone to love. Riggs gives Luke a companion, a secret keeper, responsibility, compassion, and in the last few months Luke has had a bit of a caretaker role and I am so proud of how he has been so gentle, so loving, so caring, so protective. Luke is a wild and rough and active little boy but Riggs means the world to him and to watch him truly care more about something else than he does himself is a good thing.
