The Mouse House and Legoland!

Team Tully and Daney went to Disney World and Legoland!!!  It was a fantastic time and we surprised little man Luke with the whole thing!  I have the video of the reveal but it is not letting me post it for some reason.  Let's just say he was THRILLED and full of excitement!  The trip did not disappoint...perfection!

Daney humored me by wearing these ridiculous bobble headbands!  Ha!  However, they did get many compliments and they even got me some television fame in the park!

A classic from my youth...such fun to ride it again 25 years later with my son!

Luke had the tough decision of who to ride with on each ride.  I think he did an amazing job...it is almost like he knew.  Best examples:  Me for the Dumbo ride, Daney for the Little Mermaid ride, and L for the Speedway ride.  Smart kid!

 A GREAT day!

I'm not angry...the sun was just frying my retinas.  :-) Perfect weather!

 Smiling all day!

Speed racers.  I rode with Daney the first time but then she made me get my own car...geez...something about being a grownup!  Ha!

Mickey and Minnie...how it all started!

One of Luke's favorite things was this scavenger hunt through a section of Magic Kingdom.  Such a cool and hidden feature!

Daney and L spent a day and a half at Universal Studios so Luke and I wandered Downtown Disney and some of the other Disney resorts.  We had a blast!  Our first stop was the Lego store where Luke was in heaven being amongst other Lego fanatics!  He seriously stood in this section building car after car to race.  He made fast friends and their little Lego engineering conversations were so entertaining!

 HOURS of fun!

 My lunch date.

Wandering the hotel grounds we found this guy!

Team Tully does LEGOLAND!  So amazing, so cool, so fun, and so many inspirations for our little builder.

Amazing, right?!  They also had a shuttle that would "blast off" on the hour.  Too cool!

Luke expertly drove L under every possible water feature.  I'm glad he chose Daddy for this ride!

Love this ride...makes you work for your fun!

One of my favorite pieces.  I think Luke was just as impressed with the models as he was with the rides.  It is a fantastic place for Lego fans!  We had an awesome time!

AT-AT walker!  An entire Star Wars  section made for a VERY happy Luke!

 Bad Guys  :-(

 Good guys  :-)

New York!  We even got to meet a master model builder!  He met with about 20 of us and talked about the amount of Legos, the time involved, and the process to make some of these amazing models.  He also graciously answered our question of "how do you get your job?!"  Ha!  Luke has already proclaimed that he would like to work at Legoland.

This  one amazed me!  It even shot water out of the cannons.

Arms Up!  It's funny....you think you know your kid and then they surprise you.  Luke is not big on anything that makes him feel off balance.  For example he is NOT a fan of riding his bike (that is putting it lightly...he kind of despises it) but he was not at all timid or apprehensive of the countless roller coasters we rode.  Just stepped right up and got on them like it was nothing...both at Legoland and Magic Kingdom!  Interesting.  But I was very thankful because he was so proud of himself for going on the "teenager rides".

The highlight for little man Luke.  His latest Lego obsession is Lego's land of Chima.

Luke has very little interest in any sort of character...he is too literal and logical to be swept up in meeting the characters...always telling us that it is just a "regular person".  But he was very happy to give this particular Chima character the time of day!  I think his name is Cragger.  :-)

Luke's favorite ride!  See that water?  The water pouring out of this sculpture from ALL sides from about 40 feet in the air?  You see it, right?  Well let me tell you...it is FREEZING!  I know this because I (and L and Luke) got drenched!  DRENCHED....ABSOLUTELY SOAKED!  My least favorite ride.  I rode it once.  Luke and L rode it three times.  Seriously...not an inch of us was dry.  But the smile on Luke's face and the continuous excited hopping was worth it!

We rounded out our trip by exploring other Disney resorts.  We spent some time at the Animal Kingdom Lodge where we tracked Simba through the prideland using real tracking equipment.  Luke found him!

Then we joined a session with the animal caretakers and helped them make "puzzle feeders" for some of the animals.  These were going to the giraffes!  Fun and educational!  You can't beat it.

We had an amazing time and we are so thankful to Daney for joining us on a truly memorable trip!

And then we came home and..........

L was featured on TV during the State of the State Address!!!  So proud of our handsome and hardworking man!!  We love you and you so deserve every single accolade!
