A Lucky Mom

Yes, I am a lucky mom.  Maybe all moms are lucky just by being moms. But I am VERY lucky!  I have THE best mom.  I have THE best son. I have THE best husband.  I was raised by a selfless, kind, and genuine mother.  I have learned from her the values of patience, priorities, humility, and time.  I have learned from my sweet L that a true and loving partnership is one of life's greatest blessings and together we raise our son the best way we know how.  I thank him for his support, his grace, his accolades, and above all his true and unwavering love.

And Luke.  My dear, sweet, curious, funny, brilliant, and perfect Luke...I am the lucky one.  Every single day I spend with you is a blessing.  Every. Single. Day.  No, they are not always full of rainbows and roses but they are real and they are pure and they are ours.  I am lucky to be able to be a stay at home mom.  There is no where else I would rather be.  I am lucky to be your playmate, teammate, fellow superhero, race track builder, and storyteller.  Because it is just you and I, I am lucky to be able to be truly PRESENT in your life.  You get all of me all the time.  And I get all of you all the time.  I cannot tell you how much joy that brings to me!  I am very aware of time...of moments...of change...and I am so incredibly thankful and lucky to be able to experience it all with YOU.  You are my life, my heart, my purpose, my pride, my joy, and you are the reason that I know with all of my heart what it means to unconditionally and unequivocally love someone.  I am celebrated today (Mother's Day) because of you.  You have made me a mom and you have made me whole.  Thank you, Luke.  I love you.  I love you infinity.
