Pig Pickin'

Team Tully headed to the country this past weekend.  We were invited to one of L and my favorite kinds of get together...a pig pickin'!  There is just nothing like pulling pork right from the hog.  Luke thought it was great and thoroughly enjoyed getting his own meat "right from inside the pig".  We were invited by friends that we consider to be some of the most genuine people on Earth.  They are kind and generous and they live on the most beautiful property.  A huge pond, acres of farmland, bare feet is the norm, and arms and hearts are always open.  It made L and I miss our Arrowhead days and we spent some time talking about how Luke would simply love it there.  Don't get me wrong, we LOVE our neighborhood and all that the neighborhood life brings with it but there is just something to be said for being "off the beaten path."  It was a wonderful day spent with wonderful people.  We left with full bellies and full hearts.

I thought he might try to sneak this bundle of cuteness in the car.

There she is in all her glory. (I have no idea about the gender....a female just makes it more poetic....as if eating hog is ever poetic)

The view from the back porch, hayride in the distance.  Gorgeous and pure.
