Never have I ever been so busy!!! Truly, if I EVER said I was busy before having a 3.5 year old I was lying. Lying lying lying. Wow! I love it but wow! We have been going places and doing things and loving it all. I just told my dear friend today that I had to put "shower" on my to do list because otherwise I wouldn't make time for one. Pathetic. Anyway, here is what we have been up to:
Luke is now convinced that if there is water there are fish. No matter what. We have yet to be successful at this particular location but it doesn't seem to matter to this little guy.
L's happy place....out on the water.
"Riggs is going to babysit while I eat my snack."
Boys. Worms. Enough said.
L took a day off!! It was awesome! Beautiful weather and all day with our favorite guy!! Luke and I smiled all day long! First off, a hike in the woods.
A mini waterfall
A post-hike treat!
An after dinner trip to the park. "Mommy, you can't be in the picture because you are not a boy."
Ummm....Team Tully is off to the UK soon!!!! Yeah, no big deal! Luke is sporting his London Olympic duds in excitement!!! Thank you Gonzalez family...we will see you soon!!!
This particular conversation was about whether or not the Trader Joe's rocketship cheese crackers (thank you Aunt Daney!) are better than the standard Goldfish. Luke chose rocketships, Isabella chose Goldfish and Izzie was eating something entirely different and could not be bothered with such nonsense.
Luke said he doesn't have enough pictures of him and Ellie. Ellie is pretty much the fifth member of our family...for better or for worse. She solves all problems and she means the world to Luke. She really should have a blog post of her own...note to self.
So life is great! I am really really really loving this particular stage! Luke is hilarious and truly witty and just so curious and inquisitive. I can't get enough of his expressions and stories and his take on the world. I love it! He is also at the stage where we can reason with him. He understands "if/then" statements and consequences are a real thing. On the downside he also understands what it means to hurt someone's feelings and to have his feelings hurt...that pain can be more than just a physical boo boo. He is smart, funny, kind, and he continues to teach me things every single day! So much love for this little man, so much LOVE!!!
Now.....about that UK trip....stay tuned!!!!
