Valentine's Day sure comes with a lot of expectations but Team Tully doesn't really buy into all of that. We like to keep it simple. Food colored waffles, cards, and extra hugs and kisses are how we roll. This year was a little different. Sweet L was out of town. :( We spent the day with friends and valentine parties and extra sweet treats. But Valentine's Day is just not the same when our sweetheart is not with us. Luke and I maintained smiles and had a great day. I called L at the day's end and right before I went to bed. We chatted a bit and he asked if I would check on a piece of equipment that he thought he had left at home. He couldn't find it in his truck and just wanted to be sure that it wasn't completely lost. I asked where it would be and he told me. I wandered out to the garage and there before my tired eyes was my love!! Driving like a madman from states away to get home and save Valentine's Day!!! I love him! He arrived at 11:43pm. Just in time!
Listen, if anyone is ever concerned with what to buy Luke for any given occassion., I will tell you...his favorite thing is a singing card!! No joke. We STILL have the Transformers card that Ima and Sheshy got him for his 3rd birthday. His birthday is in June. I just heard him play with the card yesterday. Enough said.
So many sweet treats, so many!!
A valentine party with our favorite little people!
Luke and the twins! I offered each boy their own plate but they wanted to all pick off the same plate. I thought it was a great idea and very environmentally friendly (L would be so proud!). Jacob said Luke should sit in the middle because "that would be something different." Ha! I guess twins need a sibling break every once in a while! :)
