What We've Been Up To and....Luke is FINALLY into Swings!

Fair warning:  this post will be light on the verbage...my kid no longer naps and I am tired!

L and I spent our 6th anniversary in Charleston.  Alone.  Just the two of us.  It was blissful.

We "got our history on" at Fort Sumter.  L was in heaven and we learned quite a bit...felt good to actually have time to read the plaques.  ;)

Seems like too pretty of a place to be igniting cannons and such.

A gorgeous day!

Leaving the Fort, the ferry ride was fantastic and we saw at least 7 dolphin!

We shopped, we wandered the streets, we explored the art galleries, we spent time at the waterfront parks, we watched a movie, we drank at rooftop bars, and ate at 5 star restaurants.  It was the perfect anniversary gift to each other!

Meanwhile....Luke was under the EXPERT care of Ima and Sheshy!  We need to thank them a million times over for making this trip possible.  Luke had a great time and I am sure Ima and Sheshy did too.  They also probably slept extremely well the day we left!  :)

Ima and Sheshy gave a good report.  It is kind of easy to keep Luke entertained at the beach.  He will throw shells and cord grass and driftwood into the ocean for hours on end.  Not to mention the fishing!!

 Hercules

This particular piece of driftwood got A LOT of attention.  Seriously, who needs toys?!

He would be here allllll day if we let him.

Our other beach boy!  Love love love!!

The biggest news of the week/month/year....Luke is into swinging!!  This is big, folks!  He has hated swings in the past, seriously, he would scream every time we put him in one...with or without pushing him, he hated it.  Now...well...just take a look!

Sure helps that Ima and Sheshy were swining too!

Post swinging and driftwood tossing!  Asleep.  In the bike car.  With a lollipop hanging out of his mouth.  A great day!

Back home and I am sorry but I just cannot get enough mowing the lawn photos.  He is a little obsessive about it!  So stinkin' cute!

 Like Father Like Son

Today we had an Easter egg hunt and potluck picnic with our mom's group.  It was fantastic!  Great weather, great people, and lots and lots of fun!  Plus it was on the lake so Luke was in rock throwing heaven!

"We should probably march because today is March."  (we are working on the months of the year...so far this one is sticking! )

Snacks lakeside - c'mon - are these lucky kiddos or what?!
