Mixing Holidays with Broccoli

Today is St. Patrick's Day and Team Tully is very proud of our Irish heritage!  We wear green, eat green (i.e. green pancakes and green mashed potatoes with our corned beef) and this year we decided to do something green too!  We planted some broccoli.  We are huge broccoli eaters, seriously, we have it at least three times a week and we prefer fresh to frozen so the broccoli plants were on sale and we decided to pick some up.  Fingers crossed.

More "tough work" in the yard.

Today was also the annual Easter Egg hunt and carnival for our new neighborhood!  It was a blast!  Bouncy houses, face painting (Luke wanted NO part of that), balloon animal making (Luke chose an elephant...shocker!), and much more!  So a St. Patrick's Day/Easter combo was on the menu for Team Tully.  Fun fun fun!

All of a sudden Luke is a bouncy house maniac!

The hunt begins!  Luke was in the 0 - 4 age group and he was the youngest hunter there.  He did great and loved "searching" for eggs!

Staying low...great strategy!

"I got it!"

Making sure he got them all!

Inspecting the loot

A very satisfied egg hunter!
