Quite Possibly

Ahh...Team Tully is back from a glorious trip to HHI!  We had a great time, we got to see Ima and Sheshy who so graciously let us stay in their house and we got to spend some quality HH time with Granny and Papaw who finally got to see what all the HH fuss is about!  We were so happy to show them why we love this place so much and we hope it will be a meeting place again soon (10  hours versus 16 hours is a BIG difference).  Thank you to both sets of G-rents for spending time with us and for loving Luke so much!  We love you!

After Granny and Papaw left to go home Luke, L, Riggs, and I decided to spend the afternoon at the beach and it quite possibly was the best hour and half of my life!! I have bottled it up and will go back to it many many times over - in fact, I went there today after Luke stepped on  fire ant hill and now has close to 15 bites on his feet! The ingredients for the PERFECT 90 minutes:

1. a post-nap, post-snack Luke (the very best kind of Luke)
2. a steady breeze (finally a break from our mosquito foes)
3. a dog that has become a true beach fanatic (we seriously almost had to carry him to get him to leave)
4. low tide
5. other dogs
6. calm waves
7. a wiffle ball
8. proud parents - very proud

L and I just stood together while the dog played with Luke, while Luke chased a ball, while Riggs chased the ball and Luke chased Riggs, while Riggs played so well with other dogs, while Luke splashed in the water, while Riggs sat patiently next to a fisherman in hopes of a reeling in mistake (oh how he was longing for Sheshy), while Luke sat next to Riggs and jabbered on and on while they both stared out to sea, while Luke got to meet and greet other "nnniiicccee" (Luke's favorite word) dogs, while Luke did log rolls in the sand, while Riggs dug a hole and Luke cheered him on.  It truly was wonderful, L and I stood hand in hand and watched it all and wondered how life could possibly get any better.  It was the highlight of the last 15 1/2 months for us.  We love our family and it was so nice to just be that...a family.  No work, no phone, no camera (sorry), no calendar...just family...and sorry to boast but we are a GREAT one!
