October was full of fun and friends and we enjoyed it all so very much! Our month in no particular order...
Sweet Lisa and 2 of her 4 kiddos were in town for a dance event and we got to spend the day together wandering and chatting and just soaking up our time together! I love her so!
This handsome crew at the Homecoming Dance! Friends since they were toddlers.

A very rare glimpse of the Northern Lights here in the south. And I was awake late enough to see them! Win Win
Luke took a road trip with his friends Joseph and Brandon to Louisville, KY over his fall break to play in a Pokemon tournament! He did amazing and brought home some championship points. He also had MANY road trip tales to tell. From what L and I can gather it was a hilarious guys trip.
I do love a fall festival! We went to this local one and had a great time! A corn maze, hay bale races, hay rides, and more. Such a great way to spend the morning.
Luke is still a staple at our local game store and enjoys his twice a week gatherings.
We stumbled on some free live music downtown near campus a couple of weeks ago and today we wandered an art festival. Our little city is full of activities and fun!
When I inquired about the random axe at our front door Luke looked at me with a face that suggested that having an axe at the front door was the most natural and obvious and normal thing in the world. "It's Jack's. That's where he put it. We will need it tomorrow." No further details. Kids are the best.
L and I had the best time at a Toad the Wet Sprocket and Barenaked Ladies concert downtown! It was so much fun! We saw lots of people we knew there and it was the hottest place to be on a Thursday night if you were in your 40s-50s! So nostalgic and just fantastic!!!
They both put on a great show! I think L and I preferred Toad the Wet Sprocket but we sang our little hearts out all night! A perfect GenX night!
More fall fun at Oktoberfest!
My favorite part of a Saturday morning long run...when the sun finally makes its appearance.
Just this week our trees turned to this kaleidoscope of color and wonder. My favorite.
