Holiday Highlights 2021 (Volume 3)

I wanted to make sure not too much time had passed before posting the final installment of Holiday Highlights!  Boy oh boy did we finish out our winter break strong!  SO FUN!

We got home from our roadtrip and made a list of all of our favorite holiday traditions.  Driving around and seeing all of the neighborhood lights is a big one!  We have taken to making anonymous thank you notes to put in the mailboxes of our favorite holiday houses thanking them for all of their effort in making their home so festive.  We had Ima's bell choir on YouTube in the background while we crafted our notes!

Three cheers for Granny and Papaw again this year for supplying us with our gingerbread house!!  We LOVE this activity!

A brief break in holiday traditions for Luke to get braces!

Luke will tell you that his favorite part of Christmas morning is opening stockings!  I'm pretty sure this cuteness is a big reason why!

Annual Christmas Day hike!

We made a quick trip to HH to see Ima and Shesh and to help with some chores.  L and Shesh installed a toilet, Luke and I retrieved a Christmas tree,  L and Shesh cut down a tree, and Luke and L cleaned off the roof!   Not to worry, we also went to the beach, bike rides, fishing, shopping, a production of Elf the Musical (so awesome!), dog walks, and game playing!

Drugged up Jasper as the co-pilot.  Ha!

Hooray for surprises!!!  While in HH Mit texted me asking if they could come down for a visit!  YES!  Of course, YES!  We hightailed it home from HH and in a 3 hour turnaround time opened the  front door to the PA crew!!  Luke was SHOCKED!  L and I kept Jeffrey and Hallie's arrival a secret and Luke was shocked and oh SO happy!!!  We headed on a downtown adventure to walk around the capital and visit with L on campus.

Next arrival was the NC crew!  Little Evelyn and Amelia joined in on the cousin action!  SO MUCH FUN!

Trying to make sure Evelyn always knows to bring extra clothes to Aunt Kit's house because there will surely be mud!  Also, this was New Year's Day...80 degrees.

Hallie and Evelyn made two different types of cornbread to have with dinner.  Evelyn's pants still in the dryer from the aforementioned creek stomping!

A quick snapshot before baby Amelia took her seat!

Two of my favorite train engineers!

We had so much fun with holiday traditions and family rounding out our winter break!  How lucky are we to be able to fill our days with laughter, family, the outdoors, travel, slow mornings, traditions, cozy nights, friends, and LOVE.  So much love.  We hope your holiday season was full of all of these things too!  Happy New Year!  As always Team Tully will focus on Presence, Gratitude, and Love.
