I am surrounded by males. SURROUNDED. Daily. Constantly. And my life is better for it!! Of this I am sure!
Because how else would you play it?
4th Grade Kickball Champions!
"My Three Sons" (+Jasper)
MANY afternoons spent at the creek in various amounts of clothing. Ha!
Trying out a new way to explore the creek. LOVE these kids and their imaginations and curiosity.
Classroom CSI investigations! SO thankful for Luke's wonderful school and wonderful teachers! Experience...the most brutal and most important teacher!!
Solving the crime!
Pre-kickball game pep talk - no adults allowed.
My best guys and a weekend staple...a walk in the woods!
(and just to remember the topic of conversation on this particular walk - the space program - its importance and its history. Big thoughts for a little kid.).
My boys pulling a firetruck in the name of pediatric cancer research.
Creek shenanigans
Full camouflage!
These three and the relationship they have fills my heart! They are very much like brothers - for better or for worse. There are some days when all they do is push each others' buttons and I am nothing but a referee but there MANY more days when they bond and play and create and share as siblings do. I am very aware of Luke as an only child and I used to worry about him not sharing a childhood with siblings (I value that so much with my own siblings - that we share our childhood stories) but these boys, these friends/brothers, are Luke's siblings for now and he very much has those brother childhood memories already and continues to share those moments with them each and every day. And....on Saturday mornings Luke heads to the playroom where he will sit for HOURS playing Legos all by himself - in full contentment. The best of both worlds!! GRATEFUL.
L and this group of guys ran from Asheville, NC to Greenville, SC - and apparently LOVED every minute of it!
This is a daily occurrence that L caught on camera. When I leave the house, he finds my shoe and brings it with him to lay on Luke's bed and watch out the front window for my return. Cute, and very Weird. No damage is ever done to the shoe!
Me and my favorite guy!
So thankful for all of the boys in my life - they keep me laughing and loving!
