I was the chauffeur to the mystery getaway and I snapped a photo as soon as E opened the door. She was given a packing list but no further information....
I think she was pleased!! A beautiful resort in the NC mountains that specializes in rustic luxury and topnotch service. Only the best!
A beautiful arrival day
Our first stop was a brewery tour. I had never been on a brewery tour (there were a lot of firsts for me this weekend!). It was fantastic...very informative and interesting, lots of science, and some beer samples. Perfect!
And...employees have a SLIDE to get from the second floor to the first. How awesome is that?! I had the foresight to go first so that this is the only picture of me and the slide...then I got to take pictures of the others coming down. Hilarious! Being over 30 on a slide is always a riot!
E - not that graceful
L - super graceful
Here we are...the brew crew!
By the next morning the rest of the gals had arrived and we had a Spa Day. Another first...I had never been to a spa. And we did indeed spend all day there. Who knew that was possible?!
Here we all are...post massages and manicures and pedicures. Don't we all look relaxed?
Sisters! Love!!
A boa and a tiara...you cannot have bachelorette shindigs without them.
Ready for a night out on the town! I have my glasses on because we were going to be out past 8pm. In fact we didn't even leave the hotel until about 8pm!! We took an Uber (another first - I probably need to get out more). We dined on delicious Spanish tapas and enjoyed each other's company. These are a wonderful group of ladies that have shared in E's life story and I am so thankful that I got to be a part of this weekend. So fun!
Kudos to E's friend L for all of her planning and organizing and preparing! We stayed in paradise, dined on delicious food, played hilarious games, relaxed in luxury, and basked in good friendships. Thank you!!
Meanwhile on the home front....L and Luke built a massive fort in the backyard, changed a car headlight, printed and bound my blog from 2016 for me, dined on chicken wings, and walked Jasper through the woods over and over. They both politely commented on my newly manicured hands and told me they missed me. Love. Roots and Wings. Always.
