Our Busy Beautiful Life

December 13th.  Today is December 13th.  How did that happen?!  Wow!...a word that is vague and powerful.  Wow.  Life has been great and busy and fun and funny and full.  Halloween happened, school keeps truckin' along, a WV visit was made and enjoyed, Jasper is fantastic, volunteering is my new gig, L is busy and happy, we were in a parade, friends grace our home often, Santa came through the neighborhood on a fire truck, we have amazing people in our life.  It's a lot.  But it's a lot of GOOD!

These best buds have creative minds and never lack for things to do and play!

Our boy

Halloween science with friends!

Luke as an "exploring skeleton" and Jasper as a ghost.  Jasper did not pass his first Halloween test.
:-(  He barked at every witch, minion, and fairy.  He had to stay home.  We will give him a second chance next year.

The trick or treating crew!

This lady!!  Such a light in my life!  Love

B and Luke were given a challenge to build an apparatus to hold up an apple using only straws and tape....Luke wants you to know that it is NOT taped to the table! Ha.
L and Luke made a table from scrap wood for the playhouse.  :-)

A day off of school means tennis and a picnic in the park

Our driveway on most afternoons!  All boys all the time!

Removing our upstairs AC was the obvious occasion for the first annual Tully egg drop!

Luke's vessel lasted the most number of falls before cracking but when it did crack it cracked completely. L's cracked first but not nearly has badly.  I declared a tie!

They do know how to be inside....sometimes.

They call it "playing", I call it "free labor"

Don't you just love a dog/owner selfie?!

A quick trip to HH to witness the Hurricane Matthew aftermath (2 months later!!) and of course some fishing :-)

This is TINY portion of what is lining the small street where Ima and Shesh live. Unbelievable

Using the metal detector before we leave for school...what else would he be doing at 7am?!  Ha!

LOVE!

We headed to WV for Thanksgiving!  Our days were full of family and outdoor fun...which includes the ever popular rolling tires down a hill and Luke's favorite from this year..."busting up a fridge with bricks"!  We can thank Luke's idol cousin Pete for that!  Ha!

13 year age difference but best buddies!  Pete is such a great cousin to Luke and we love and appreciate him!

Tree decorating with Granny and Papaw

Thanksgiving and Christmas back to back makes for a happy Luke!

Aunt M and Uncle R bought a horse!  We got to meet sweet Zeke and he is very handsome!
As always we are so thankful for such great families!!!

Meanwhile...this guy was living it up at the beach with I and S.  Lucky dog!

Sheshy got to accompany Team Tully for a full day at the factory, spring sites, and Christmas parade!  (while Ima was helping Daney do "boring wedding stuff" - Luke's words, not Sheshy's.) It was so great to have L as our personal tour guide.  He loves what he does and his love of the science behind this whole operation makes us all so proud!

A spring site hike

Shesh didn't know he was going to be part of this small town parade but he stepped up, grabbed a water wagon and a pair of antlers and joined right in!

Meanwhile this kid and I got to throw full sized candy bars to the parade viewers!  Fun!

Festive and Fun!

Not into it.

This is apparently fun for the 5-10 year old crowd.

Luke had a soccer banquet to celebrate the season.  4 coaches made this team a success!!  It really takes a village. :-)  A great group of kids!

Yikes!  Can you find Luke (hint...look up)?  A 7 year old boy is hard to keep still and safe!

Late afternoon snowflake making

Annual Amie's cut-out cookie making.  A wonderful tradition full of memories!

The second (or third??) annual Tully Train Christmas Edition!  Hooray!  L and I conducted the train while these passengers got cozy and lounged and looked at all the neighborhood lights.  We drove every street and cul de sac and then came home for a holiday cookie and craft!  Such fun!

Three little elves working on a sled ornament.

Happy Holidays everyone!
