My forever teammate. I can do what I do because of him and he can do what he does because of me.
A few months ago I was asked to speak at the SC Moms of Multiples convention. I was asked to speak on the topic of living a simple life. I was honored to be asked and I did my best to share my true belief in "less is more" and "collecting moments, not things." I talked about everything from budgets to closet clutter. (The above was used as my headshot in the program :-) Nothing like my ROY G. BIV closet to show my love of organizing). I had a great time and it was a great group!
"Living Simply: From the Inside Out"
A few weeks later I was asked to speak at the groundbreaking ceremony for our new community library. Our current library is full of bright minds, wonderful librarians, and a plethora of great media. It; however, is not full of space! So, we are getting a brand new and Frank Lloyd Wright inspired library in our community! So exciting! I was asked to speak for just a few minutes on what the library means to me and my family. It was hard to narrow it down to a few minutes but I was happy to do it and very honored to be asked. We visit the library at least once a week and libraries and books are a huge part of life for our family.
I have spoken to classes and groups many times in my life but never in front of a backhoe!
On to L! L has been working on this project tirelessly for 5+ years and it has come to fruition and is beyond a success story. L is patient, kind, and a fantastic listener. He is smart, cautious, and has a way of connecting with community members and leaders that has made this entire project a smooth and prosperous endeavor. He is the name behind this masterpiece and I am also so very proud when he is acknowledged and given much deserved accolades. We are SO proud of him and what he has accomplished and he DESERVES every single high five, hug, award, pat on the back, kind word, and fame. He has become part of this tiny town in the middle of no where and he is beloved!!!
The factory had an open house and Luke and I (and SG) were SO excited to take a tour with L as our guide. What a magnificent place! Truly a wonder in technology and precision.
L - a huge and integral part of this! He has been with this project from the very beginning. To see this actual factory up and running is a testament to him and his love of what he does and his passion to do it well!
Another date with Nikki. :-) L won an award for being an Economic Development leader in the state. He is humble and he is honored. He works extremely hard and ceremonies like this are deserved and appreciated. Way to go!!
I got to be his +1 at the Governor's mansion.
