Today was a duckboot day. It rained ALL day long and to be honest we (Luke, Riggs, and I ) loved every second of it. Don't get me wrong, it was still hot, but not nearly as oppressive as it has been. We embraced the rain and I donned my duckboots with a smile on my face. Luke and I went to the grocery store only to arrive in the parking lot during a complete downpour...he giggled all the way to the entrance and laughed as I styled his soaked hair into a mohawk for our shopping expedition.
Our late morning dog walk thankfully took place during more of a heavy drizzle than an all-out rain. Our neighbor "Doc" called out..."Rain or shine?" Yes sir, rain or shine...that is how Team Tully rolls!
Luke got some afternoon puddle time before a much needed nap. You can't beat a rainy day to add a few extra minutes to naptime.
It was a good day, a good rainy day...no thunder (Riggs is super thankful for that)...just the simple joys of a summer rain. Good for the soul.
